Sponsorship Rationales & FAQ's
For what exact purpose is a sponsorship sought, and what difference would that make?
Sponsorship is sought for the purposes of continuation of the projects’ running expenses. These expenses relate to the day to day running of the project and will be utilised in the payments of vehicle maintenance and fuel, guides and interpreters, transport of support crew, postage, communication, and other miscellaneous expenses including research video transfers and duplication, computer software adaptation, computer maintenance, proposal production and printing, ink, and paper.
What is the amount required, and how has this figure been arrived at?
A complete logistics budget is available to view upon request. Figures have been arrived at by calculating the average running expenses of the first stage of the project, during which time we will spend 5 months on the road with the need for fuel expenses, for guides and interpreters and insurance. This is combined with a budget required to pay for miscellaneous expenses including film production equipment hire which is being provided at an enormously reduced rate by the industry professionals involved in the project. Sponsorship need not come from a single source. A group of sponsors would be most welcome, with sponsorship of 2,500 EUR + leading to company logo inclusion on the project vehicle, banner advertisements on the project website, credits on both the documentary film and book, and ongoing recognition as the project moves into its second stage and large commercial sponsors become involved.
What other sources of income are being explored?
We have submitted a number of grant applications. The Australian Education Department intend to grant us funds for the development of an online platform for children’s awareness and education. We aim to attract larger sponsorship and investment from a number of production companies and publishers during the first stage of the project when the fruits of the project become accessible and we have formats available. The project has received a number of small donations from a large network of supporters.
What are the details of the last annual report/audited accounts?
There are no 'official' annual reports or audited accounts available in relation to expenses incurred so far. However, all receipts relating to running expenses incurred by Simon Ramsay have been collected. Simon’s ‘Purpose for Life Foundation’ is the organisation under whose banner the project is being undertaken.
What are the aims of the organisation?
The “Nomads – The Original Way of Living” project has been planned entirely by Simon Ramsay under his organisation ‘Purpose for Life Foundation’. He and the team of contributing artists involved are giving their time and services free of charge until any commercial release.
What are the plans for monitoring and evaluating the project?
This website will be regularly updated, with the latest news, film footage, articles and book excerpts. Designed as a repository of data, it will serve in keeping interested parties up to date on the project. However, hard copy reports can be provided if so requested by specific sponsors.
