The Journey to Omsk in Russia
We travelled from Amsterdam to Omsk. Omsk is a city in southwest Siberia in Russia. Do you know where Russia is? To find out more about Russia CLICK HERE
We nearly lost our back wheel – we were very lucky. Here is a picture of Ramsay fixing the wheel.
Lots of people came to help us, including a man from Armenia called Artur.
On this journey we are finding so many people who are happy to help us.
It was very hot and Ramsay was very dirty but a girl called Tanya took us to her flat so we could shower and rest whilst Genghis was repaired.
It got hotter and hotter and suddenly there was a crack of thunder, and drops of rain the size of dinner plates fell and turned the streets into rivers of dark mud.
We were safe in Tanya’s home. where it was warm, and we were surrounded by friends and thankful for the friendship of the Russian people.
Here is a picture of Ana with our new Russian friends Anya and Tanya.
While we were in Omsk we thought we would wash our clothes because we were SMELLY! Ramsay wanted to go to a launderette so he got a taxi whose driver’s name was Jim.
Jim took Ramsay to a posh launderette but when we got there it was closing and they couldn’t do our washing.
Jim took Ramsay all the way to his home and did the washing for him! His wife had a shock when she came home from work to find our clothes drying all over their flat but she smiled and began to help.
As you can see the Russian people were very kind to us.
