Because of the climatic window of travelling possibility in these regions, the journey will be split in two parts:
STAGE ONE
Starting from Amsterdam on June 14th 2008, the first stage of the journey will see the team cross Europe, visit and voyage with horse herders throughout Russia and Kazakhstan and reindeer and camel herders in Mongolia. They will travel through the Altai Mountains, the Siberian forests, Taiga, Tundra and the Gobi Desert returning to Holland in November 2008.
STAGE TWO
In April 2009, the second part of the journey, also embarking from Holland, will see the team travel to Norway, Finland and the Arctic regions into Russia. From here they will travel down to Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Afghanistan, Pakistan and finally India. The journey will be completed in October 2009.
